Feb 2007: Stompin' Dave Artist Of The Week on Lemonrock.com

http://www.lemonrock.com/stompindaveallen

May 2006: I've been performing as Dr. Stomp for about 8 years and as Prof. Oz is moving on I've decided to change stage name to Stompin' Dave Allen. (Dave Allen being my name)

People are generally pretty slow to catch on to these things so you might still see me listed as Dr. Stomp. I don't really mind this as it shows what a good brand we built up over the years.  However I would really like to change as I feel that to the uninitiated Dr. Stomp could sound like an average pub band. Although some people might argue that this is what I am I think I have a little more going for me. Also I just generally feel like a new start.

Dr. Stomp has nevertheless done me well over the years and I shall miss the deliberations over whether I was really a doctor, and the mistakes people used to make Dr. Stamp, Dr. Stop, Dr. Strop, etc. but I'm sure the confusion caused by me changing name will more than make up for this. I am still called Elmore in The Dolphin, St Deny's, Soton even though I stopped using this name when I changed to Dr. Stomp eight years ago!

The advantage of changing to Stompin' Dave Allen is of course when my knees finally go I can just go as Dave Allen. If you would like to see the old Dr. stomp web site you can by clicking on: www.doctorstomp.com/homepage.htm
